The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 751

Talking it over with a smoke?

Rachel looked even more puzzled. "How can that work? Kayden wants money. A cigarette won't cut it."

With a knowing smile, Matthew remarked, "This is between guys, so you wouldn't get it. Just wait here. I'll have a word with him."

After saying that, Matthew entered Jayden's office and closed the door.

Rachel shook her head and made her way to the bench in the hallway. After taking a seat, she fixed her gaze on the office door ten yards away, waiting to see what would happen. She wasn't convinced that one cigarette would do the trick. Upon entering the room, Matthew made a beeline for the couch.

Meanwhile, Kayden was about to rip off the tape and check out the local specialties inside the box when he saw Matthew walk in. He sealed the box right away, fixing his cold gaze on Matthew. "What makes you think you can just walk in?"

Ignoring the question, Matthew made himself comfortable on the couch and gestured to Kayden. "Come on over. We need to talk."

Kayden flashed a dismissive grin at Matthew. "You think you can talk to me? I'm busy. Not just anybody gets to do that."

Matthew's smile faded, his expression turning grim. "You don't have the full picture yet. Let's sit and talk it through."

Kayden scoffed. "What exactly am I missing here? Listen closely-you're not in a position to talk to me."

Matthew got up and came to the desk. "I was going to speak to the Fullers directly, but they're avoiding me. That's why I'm here with you. Are you aware why the Fullers are hiding and refusing to show up?"

Thinking he knew best, Kayden smugly responded, "Why would they hide? People of their standing wouldn't waste their time on you. Forget about the Fuller family; you're not even worthy of my time. Get lost already!"

A dull thud sounded as a fist landed right on Kayden's mouth. The chair tipped over, and he went down with it.

After getting up, he tasted blood in his mouth and spat out a mouthful of it. A few of his front teeth hit the floor with a sharp noise.

Kayden's face contorted in pain as he yelled, "How dare you hit me! You're not making it out of this hospital today."

Matthew raised the chair and brought it down over Kayden's head. With a snap, the chair leg broke.

Kayden lay sprawled on the floor with blood trickling down his head. Holding it in agony, he whimpered. "Are you insane? You're really attacking me in a hospital?"

Matthew coldly remarked, "Do you know why the Fullers won't show their faces? They're afraid of me, so they pushed you out here to take the fall for them."

Kayden clutched his head and winced in pain. "Are you telling me the Fullers are scared of you? Not a chance. That's the Fuller family we're talking about."

Matthew picked up the monitor from the table and stated indifferently, "Even the Fuller family fears death. Don't you as well?"

With that, he raised the monitor on the desk, acting like he was about to smash it on Kayden.

Upon seeing this, Kayden was scared out of his wits and yelled, "Stop! Please! I'm scared of dying. Take the money and spare me. The box is filled with cash, and it's all yours. Just don't take my life."noveldrama

Matthew glanced at the box and demanded, "Where are the Fullers? Don't make me ask again. This is your last chance!"

Kayden hurriedly cried out, "I'll tell you. I know where they're hiding. Lyndon, the second heir of the Fuller family, came to Lambda City. He's on the 15th floor of Wealthstone Building in the southern suburbs."
