The Road to Rebirth Her Fresh Start and His Late Sorrow

Chapter 248

Nancy and Cyrus were abruptly interrupted when they instinctively turned their heads to see Judson driving toward them, his handsome face devoid of any warmth.

Ramona quickly wrapped an arm around Nancy's slender waist, pulling her to the side.

Almost simultaneously, Judson hit the gas, aiming straight for Cyrus.

Take him down.

Then Nancy would be his.

Seeing the ferocity in Judson's eyes, Cyrus realized that Judson was indeed intent on harm, especially in the split second as the car sped toward him.

He dodged to the side, stumbling on a rock that sent him off balance.

Judson seized the moment to sharply turn the steering wheel.

Just as he was about to hit Cyrus.

"Judson!" Nancy shouted, her tone disapproving, "That's enough!"

Another hit would be too much. Did Judson really want to ruin himself over Cyrus?

Hearing Nancy's words, Judson, though reluctant, stopped the car.

He stepped out, eyes flushed with anger, "Nancy, he bullied you."

Nancy didn't respond, instead, she looked at Cyrus, whose face was ashen.

"Cyrus, there's no chance for us," Nancy said firmly. "You know exactly how much you contributed to the rumors and the mess I was dragged into recently."

"I can't tell if you love me or hate me, Cyrus. If it's love, I can't handle it. If it's hate, just stay away from me. I won't be so forgiving every time."

Cyrus was speechless.

It wasn't like that, it wasn't.

"Nancy, I just wanted you to come home with me."

"So you resort to dragging my name through the mud?" Nancy shot back.

Cyrus was at a loss for words. He knew exactly how bad it had been for Nancy.

"Nancy, don't pay any mind to this idiot," Judson chimed in

sarcastically. "Hurting someone and expecting them to say, 'Oh, it's okay, I know you care about me,' is insane."

"Absolutely, Ramona added with a cold laugh: "Sounds like the old 'hit them and then give them a cookie' routine. Treating a partner like a pet, not a person. What nonsense." noveldrama

Cyrus turned pale, his mind buzzing with indignation.

Judson, seeing only concern for Nancy in his eyes, gently guided her into the car. "Let's go home."

"Ramona, let Judson give you a ride," Nancy insisted, not wanting Cyrus to lash out at Ramona.

Ramona didn't hesitate and slid into the seat next to Nancy.

As they were about to leave, Cyrus tried once more to block them, but a group of security guards in black suits quickly surrounded him.

"Get out of here!" Cyrus shouted, seething.

"Sir, if you have an invitation, please show it. If not, don't blame us for being rude," one of the guards stated firmly.

Fuming, Cyrus was about to argue when he saw Judson's car driving away.

He couldn't hold back his frustration anymore, cursing under his breath.

But Nancy's words lingered in his mind, filling him with dread.

He hadn't tried to trample Nancy; he just wanted her back.

Back to how things used to be. Why was everyone standing in his way?

Clenching his fists, Cyrus's eyes filled with determination. No, he had to find a way to bring Nancy back.

Otherwise, if Nancy stayed here, she would surely leave him.

But before Cyrus could finish his thoughts, his phone rang.

With a scowl, he answered it.

The next second, Lucy's voice came through the line, "Mr. Gordon, the identity cancellation is done. I've sent you all the dirt on Baldrick."
