Chapter 756
Anson triumphantly declared, "You got it. I've set fire to the building to give you a fiery farewell. The Fuller family is loaded, so a little property damage means nothing if it'll get you killed. I'd spend a fortune to make sure you're gone. You're done for."
The woman beside Anson was horrified. "A-Are you going to burn me alive too, Mr. Anson? I just slept with you last night."
Anson sported a menacing look. "The Fuller family didn't pour all that money into you for nothing. We own your life."
With a thud, the woman dropped to the ground, shaking with fear.
Matthew's eyes darted around anxiously. He was desperate to find a way out.
Seeing the look on Matthew's face, Anson smugly stated, "You're finished, Matthew. And it won't be pretty. You'll be charred to a crisp. Feeling scared yet?"
Matthew's expression was grim. "Scared? Of course, I am. Who isn't afraid of death? But you're worse than me. You're too scared to even set foot in Lambda City."
Anson immediately snapped, "You seriously think I'm too afraid to come to Lambda City? You're wrong. I'm right here on the tenth floor. Now that you know where I am, what are you going to do about it?"
Matthew pointed at Anson on the tablet. "The tenth floor, huh? Just you wait. I'm going to tear you apart today."noveldrama
Anson burst into laughter, looking at Matthew as if he were some kind of fool. "Are you out of your damn mind? I've shut off the elevators, and the staircase is already on fire. You're toast. Do you wish you hadn't crossed the Fuller family yet? Well, it's too late now."
Ignoring Anson's shouting, Matthew grabbed the tablet and clipped it to his belt, then quickly made his way to the window.
He ripped down the window curtains and quickly tied the corners together. As he took hold of one end, he swung it around in a circle. The curtains caught the wind with a whoosh, turning into a makeshift parachute.
On the 12th floor, Anson and Lyndon stared at the screen, watching Matthew holding a makeshift parachute made from the curtains. Their faces immediately fell.
"Y-You're not thinking of jumping, are you?"
Holding the corner of the makeshift parachute made from the curtains, Matthew charged at the window and shattered the glass with a powerful kick. With a smash, the glass window broke, and he took the plunge down to the ground. The wind howled as waves of hot air rose. Matthew swayed unsteadily, falling through the air.
These curtains were big enough. As they puffed out, they caught the wind and slowed down Matthew's descent. But he was only on the 15th floor, so he was on the ground within seconds.
Floored by the sight before them, Anson and Lyndon watched closely by the window with their mouths agape.
Lyndon couldn't help but curse, "Fuck! How did he pull that off?"
Anson turned to Lyndon. "This fire is a massive loss, Uncle Lyndon. Half of the building is gone. It's not worth it at all."
Lyndon wasn't bothered at all. "No big deal. Keep sending the people from The Fate Order and The Misfortune's Veil after him. We've got plenty of money."
Anson suddenly exclaimed, "What's Matthew doing?"
After reaching the ground, Matthew made a beeline to the truck nearby and grabbed two cans of gasoline before heading back to Wealthstone Building.
Upon seeing this, Lyndon felt a chill run down his spine. "I-Is he going to set the entire Wealthstone Building on flames?"
What do you think?
