Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1695

Turning around, she saw the two confronting each other. Right then, shopping bags were scattered all over the ground. Anthony squatted down to speedily pick them up, while the woman's lips were tightly pursed, her eyebrows carrying a trace of iciness and anger. Not knowing whether she was mad or jealous, her face was flushed as she was engaged in a distorted posture.

As soon as Victoria's gaze fell on the woman, her eyes could not help but widen in astonishment. She didn't think so at first glance, but upon taking a closer look, she was bewildered to find that the woman's makeup and even the angry look resembled her from the past!

Raising her hand, Victoria's hand stroked the end of her eye without realizing it. She had a small mole on the spot. Since it was positioned close to the eye, nor was it too big or too evident, she did nothing to remove it. She would cover the mole with foundation whenever she didn't feel like showing it, but many others once told her that the mole was remarkable. Anthony had more than once told her that it was her charm upon turning around, but there were some others who pointed out that the mole was a symbol of unhappiness that was unfavorable to the "husband".

After the two of them got into a relationship, she had always been afraid that he might be intimidated by the thoughts or the superstitions of his family's elders. She had always wanted to remove it, but he would say that it was a trace of charming loveliness bestowed by the heavens. It didn't matter at all, nor was he bothered by it.

Over time, the thought of removing the mole faded from her mind. When she would occasionally look in the mirror, she wouldn't think it was a weakness because the mole was not detectable. On the contrary, one would only be able to see it by looking at her side profile.

Yet, the woman had a clear black mole in almost the same position.

Especially when the woman's five sense organs were blurred at such a distance, Victoria felt as though she was looking at herself in a mirror, judging from the figure, clothes, hairstyle, and mole.

She did have a special place in Anthony's heart, didn't she? Else, the woman wouldn't be standing beside him, dressed in such an outfit! It was previously her favorite styling.

In her memory, Anthony never asked for anything from her when she had been in a relationship with him.

She didn't want to overthink, but at the moment, Victoria had a deep feeling, so her eyes reverted to one side without realizing it to avoid witnessing the scene before her eyes. It was why it was right for her to let go! After all, the two of them had once loved each other.

Perhaps by letting their relationship go could they free themselves from the confinement of their emotions, and so could she live life for herself!

The incident should be a thing of the past. She had forgiven Trevor. He... Victoria took a step closer.

On the ground, Anthony flusteredly reached out to gather all the items in his arms before extending his hand forward to grab the woman's wrist. In his tone was the same anxiousness as in his actions.

"Go! Let's go!"

"I won't leave! Why are you in such a hurry? Who are you afraid of? Do you have a vixen as a lover behind my back?" As she shook her hand, the woman suddenly made a fuss as if to realize that something was amiss.

With a deep frown on his brows, Anthony's face was purple with rage. He lowered his voice to a hiss, "What nonsense! Let's talk about it at home!"

"Stop it! Behave..."

With patience, Anthony coaxed the woman as he tried to drag her away. Constantly struggling, the woman refused to cooperate.

It was then a crowd had gathered and stopped to watch the fun. Victoria faintly

heard the content of their quarrel and came to an instant halt.

Could it be because of her? She hadn't greeted him properly!

If everything right then was a result of what happened just then, it was too much.

No matter what the reason was, however, Victoria realized that she should not go over at the moment.

As soon as the idea flashed through her mind, a sudden clear and calm female voice came, "Anthony..."

Hearing the familiar name, Victoria looked into the crowd in the direction of the sound. Immediately after, she saw a mature and noble woman in a dark and fashionable suit, carrying a Hermes bag, walking out from the crowd. The shopping bag in her hand implied that she had just made a purchase. Right then, the woman's voice was gentle, but her eyes indeed fell on Anthony, they revealed an indescribable chill.

Without realizing it, Victoria shivered.

Who was the woman? Why did she seem to be familiar and affectionate with Anthony? Yet she seemed to be a little older than Anthony. Standing next to Anthony, it was obvious that she would be in a relationship with a younger partner. In all fairness, Anthony seemed to match the young girl next to him more.

To her surprise, Anthony turned around and walked over with the bags in his hand upon hearing the voice. "What a coincidence. Why are you here?"

After saying hello, Anthony glanced at Victoria from the corner of his eye. He walked to the woman but subconsciously turned sideways to block Victoria's sight. After leaning over to whisper something in the woman's ear, he got up to say. "Your face mask gift box is extraordinary, but there are not many female employees in my company. By then, I can only consider getting fewer benefits for female employees. If you have time, come over to talk about it in my office!" "Okay. I won't bother your shopping. I'll take my leave. The car is parked outside!" The two shook hands as if they were exchanging pleasantries with each other before the woman turned to leave. The moment she turned around, Victoria clearly saw the sneer on the woman's lips and the horrified look of the younger lady behind her. There was a surge of indescribable discomfort that rose in her heart.

There was also Anthony. His eyes were dark with a strange and distant look on his face she couldn't see through. The sight of it gave her goosebumps.

Just as she was in shock, the dazed girl on one side went up to Anthony to demand explanations. As if to bossily give orders, she questioned, "Anthony, who is this old woman?"noveldrama

The words full of jealousy instantly attracted the attention of everyone present.

When Victoria came to her senses, she saw Anthony turning around to send a slap across the lady's face. "Have you had enough? If you won't come with me, get out of here!"

As soon as he spoke, Anthony threw the bag in his hand at the woman. Once again, a gloomy expression appeared on his face. A burst of murmurs around him followed, but he seemed not to have seen anything. The woman had half of her face covered, tears streaming down her cheeks with her eyes full of shock.

"What are you looking at? Haven't you seen lovers fighting? Why don't you get out?"

Turning around, Anthony roared before his dagger-like gaze finally fell on Victoria. "Get lost!"

Somehow, she sensed that the

sentence seemed to be directed at her. It seemed fierce, but Victoria could sense an inexplicable feeling. It was not until Anthony raised his hand that she turned around with the crowd. When she looked back on after taking a step forward, she caught a glimpse of Anthony nodding to her as a hint.

Not knowing what was going on, Victoria left the place with others.

In a trance, she was in no mood to wander around, so she got into the car directly.

For some unknown reason, she could sense that something was amiss with what had happened that day.

As soon as the car left the underground parking lot, she saw a familiar figure showing up at the exit of the shopping mall, followed by her watching as Anthony got into a white car. As for the driver, it was the elder woman in the shopping mall just then?

All of a sudden, Victoria's mind lingered on the words the girl had questioned. "Who on earth are you afraid of?"

Was it the elder woman who the two had hurriedly been avoiding? Anthony's attitude towards the elder woman. Was he afraid of her? If he was, why would he be walking around with the younger lady? If he liked the young lady, why would he slap her so indifferently in public and embarrass her thoroughly? It was as if he didn't care about her feelings at all!

Confusing scenes flashed across her mind, leaving Victoria puzzled. He turned into someone she didn't know at all!

It seemed that she could not let go of the incident as she wished.

In the president's office of Sky Success Group, handling a stack of documents in

his hands, Wyatt flipped through while signing his name in an orderly way, like a robot devoid of the slightest emotions.

He didn't stop until his pen ran out of ink. Staring at his hand, he found that his fingers were so bent that he couldn't even straighten them.

Subconsciously rubbing his hands, his eyes fell on the window sill beside him. The blue sky and white clouds were breathtaking, but there seemed to be endlessly withered and hollow black and white in his eyes.

Without her, life was indeed a pool of stagnant water.

He didn't expect himself to lose her in a wrong decision!

Closing his eyes, the scene of that day appeared in his mind once more. His frozen heart, which seemed to have lost consciousness for a long time, cracked into pieces.

It hurt...

He gripped his fists tightly. In that instant, Wyatt's pain was so intense that he felt like his breathing could stop at any time. Sweat formed beads on his forehead. He had nearly killed her. She must hate him to the core. She would never forgive him again in her lifetime!

As the thought crossed his mind, Wyatt felt as if his internals were restlessly stirring. Vaguely, Wyatt could sense something squirming in his throat, threatening to spurt out. Every time he was reminded of the incident, or at the thought of her, he would feel unbearable pain.

Just as he was clenching his teeth, there was a sudden knock on the door, which instantly interrupted his thoughts and prompted him to calm himself down.

"Cough cough."

After adjusting his mood, Wyatt said, "Come

in!"

Seeing that it was Seth, he stood up from his chair in a flurry. "Is there any news?"

Seth stepped forward and nodded.

Bypassing the table, Wyatt grabbed his hand.

"Where is she?"

"Wyatt, if you don't want to lose her forever, I suggest that you don't go to her for

the time being..."

Seth's words were like a heavy hammer striking at his heart. Staggering, Wyatt lost control of himself as everything before his sight went black. As Wyatt's hand shot forward to brace himself, Seth reached out to support him at the same time.

"Did something happen to her?"

Was she hospitalized? Was it serious?

It was the only reason Wyatt could think of as to why it was inapt for him to go to

her, but after such a long period of search and wait, he could no longer bear the

torture of life and death.

"No!"

With a sigh, Seth handed him a folder.

Benet

Rushing to open the folder, Wyatt found a few pictures inside. By the stream in the forest were flowers and willows. Waverly sat still in plain gown. No one knew what she was looking at, but her face was

gaunt. She wore a smile on her face, but there was obvious sadness and sorrow swirling in her eyes. She could not hide her despair.

It was her!

It was her!

It was his Waverly. She was alive! She was alive and well!

What was...?

A temple!
