Chapter 1692
How wonderful it was!
She had experienced all kinds of ups and downs she might encounter and should not have encountered, but he made sure that she got through all of them safely. For the first time, he allowed her to experience happiness, to the point where she could accept his bad attributes, including what she could tolerate and what she couldn't!
She had never been afraid of losing him as she did right then!
But if, if...noveldrama
Holding Trevor's hand, Victoria dared not continue to ponder on it, but without realizing it, her little face rubbed against his warm palm. It seemed that only as such could she feel his existence, his strong tenderness, and love.
"Vicky, what happened to you?" Trevor realized something must have happened to her, but he could not figure it out for a time.
Yet, Victoria seemed not to didn't hear it as she opened her mouth, but instead of answering the question, she said. "Trevor, are you mad at me for missing the appointment?"
Trevor nodded and touched the back of her head with his other hand along with her soft hair. "I'm not mad, I'm worried! Not only did you not answer my phone, but you also did not inform me. I thought something had happened!"
He had arranged for bodyguards to follow her everywhere, but since they had just returned and had their schedule changed, the bodyguards weren't available to accompany her around. Plus, she went to the beauty salon. He had planned to pick her up, so the bodyguards would be free for the day. Who would have thought that he couldn't find her at a nearby restaurant after they agreed on an appointment? It shocked the hell out of him, who thought that something awful had happened again.
He had started to doubt the security of Casterwich City!
Although he had been holding his anger the moment he stormed into the house, all his resentment against her seemed to disappear automatically. How could he bear to blame her? She was a woman he couldn't help feeling distressed for! "I'm sorry, it's my fault. I forgot about it after calling my mother. Amanda said nothing, but my mother urged me to take action instead..."
Hearing what she said, Trevor felt relieved. "I see!"
It was no wonder that she appeared to be so lost. It was evident that she had something on her mind. It was all on her face!
"It's fine. Aren't we working hard? If the mothers ask again, you can say that you're nursing your health or I've recently been busy and tell them that you'll soon be pregnant with a child!"
In the past, Victoria's words were full of hope, desire, and happiness when it came
to children. Right then, however, they were like needles coated with poison that pierced the softest part of her heart at the mention of the topic.
She looked straight at Trevor with her red lips parting and closing several times. Finally, she forced a bitter smile, "Trevor, if, I mean, if we..."
If they were cousins, would she also be abandoned? They could not get married
or be together. What was even cruder was that she had to watch him marry another woman and have a child?
Her heart suddenly seemed to be ripped up into pieces. Victoria came upon an instant realization that she loved him, she loved him dearly. At the thought of parting ways with him, breathing turned suffocating!
Her voice trembled and her thoughts were disordered. She didn't know what she wanted to express, but the abnormality in her emotions grew increasingly evident. Trevor clearly sensed that she had something on her mind, something he didn't know. All he could think of was their current topic. Not in his dreams would he have thought of them being worried about something totally different.
Stroking her hair, he planted a deep kiss on her lips. "You're the most important!"
The four words were simple and clear. As soon as the voice fell, Trevor sat by the bed and placed his arms around her waist, holding her up to face him. "Vicky, no matter what happens, I will stay with you, bear it with you, and won't leave you!"
Even if she couldn't give birth to a child!
Even if the two were destined to be lonely without children!
After making up his mind, he turned her face to himself, held her face, and rubbed against her nose.
"Some things can't be forced! God has given us a lot. If we can't have our own children, it's fate! Our lives are short for merely a few decades. Besides, children are born to rob me of my wife's love, so I've never held much hope and desire toward this matter. My parents have me, so don't worry about it. Let nature take its course, will you? Our happiness will only increase along with the blessing of children and not reduce because of them!"
The implication was that it was better to have children, but it was fine not to have any. Although Trevor felt a little empty in his heart, he understood that he had snatched his wife over by using means so he deserved it for not having babies. It was God's arrangement. He loved her, and that was it. He should bear the consequences of his own actions.
No matter what the reason was, he would cherish her for the rest of his life!
Although the two of them were not talking about the same thing, it did not stop Victoria from feeling moved. The problem right then was not about whether they would have a child, but it was more serious.
If she wasn't pregnant, it would be fine, but if she was... It was the biggest burden in Victoria's heart she failed to speak of.
She rubbed against his forehead as if to respond to him. She did not explain why she was bothered. After all, one more person knowing about it meant more trouble, but after the initial shock, Victoria could accept it more with ease at the moment.
After experiencing so many setbacks and accidents, she felt that her endurance was building up.
No matter what the truth was, she could face it and solve it!
Opening her eyes, she smiled and took Trevor's hand. "Trevor, I'm fine now. After looking around, I was more emotional after experiencing people's kindness and compassion!"
After thinking about it, she asked the question she cared most about. She was not joking. Instead, she wore a solemn expression. "Trevor, if I tell you now that we are cousins, what will you do?"
Trevor was stunned by her question, followed immediately after by another thought popping up in his mind.
Did Selena talk nonsense with her again? Although he had always behaved decently, his relationship with Selena was the only ambiguous one he had. He had spent many years entangled with her, but he couldn't get rid of her in the end!
Indeed, he reaped what he sowed!
"I want you!"
The next second, Trevor proved his
words with his actions. His behavior did not even give Victoria time to react. Naturally, all her words were blocked in her throat. By the time she recovered her senses and spoke once more, the two of them had rolled onto the bed. Shoving him, she anxiously blurted out.
"Trevor, I'm telling the truth!"
What do you think?
