When Love Breaks (Josephine)

"The thing is, earlier this afternoon, he took me to play squash with Mathew. I got carried away and crushed him completely.

I think I might have hurt his ego. Now, he's mad and won't talk to me. I want to apologize."

"Squash? You beat him in squash?"

Simon was shocked.

As far as he knew, when it came to sports, other than table tennis, Ethan was practically a pro at every sport.

How could a girl like Josephine possibly beat Ethan?

And she even hurt his ego in the process?

That sounded ridiculous.

Josephine replied confidently, "Yes, I won him fair and square. My coach is a professional athlete, so among non-professionals, I'm pretty good.

"Oh, I see. Then we have a problem. From what I know, once he's mad at someone, it's practically a death sentence. No apology would work."

"What?" Josephine sent three shocked emojis. "Is it that bad? Are you sure he won't give me a chance to apologize?"

Simon replied with a helpless shrug emoji. "That's what I heard. But you might be an exception. After all, he has to take part in your movie.

"Go look for him tomorrow and apologize in person. As long as he sees your face, I doubt he'll say anything harsh."

Josephine was stunning.

Forget harsh words. If Simon were in Zayn's shoes, even if Josephine scammed him out of his entire fortune, he would forgive her after looking at her face.

She had to apologize in person?

That was fine.

She quickly asked Simon for Ethan's address and then planned her schedule for the next day. Then, she turned off her phone and went to bed.

The next morning, after Josephine was done eating breakfast, she thought of getting a present when she received a call from Mason.

"Ms. Dunn, there's another round of auditions today. Are you coming?"

Josephine smacked her forehead. She had totally forgotten about the second- round audition.

She had already missed out on the previous audition because of personal issues, which was unprofessional. There was no way she would skip today.

"I'll be there."

She thought of something and asked, "Is Ethan coming?"

"He's already here. He'll be reading lines with three other actors today."

"Oh, Okay. I'll come over now."

After hanging up, Josephine called George.

After getting in the car, she glanced at the back of George's head. She remembered that George used to work for Ethan, so he probably knew Ethan quite well.

She asked, "George, do you know what Ethan likes?"

"Mr. Dane?"

George's face lit up with excitement. This was Josephine's first time asking about Ethan's preferences.

He wanted to say that Ethan liked her, but obviously, he couldn't. After thinking for a while, he replied, "Mr. Dane likes red wine, horseback riding, sports, and collecting calligraphy."

It was tough to gift someone with a bottle of wine that they liked.

Horseback riding and sports were out of the picture as sports were the reason he was mad at her.

As for calligraphy...

before calling Winnie, "Winnie, your

grandfather lives in Sunvale, right? Can buy a calligraphy piece from him?
