The Road to Rebirth Her Fresh Start and His Late Sorrow

Chapter 250

Nancy was taken aback when Judson suddenly burst into tears.

She chuckled in disbelief, "Why are you crying?" Anyone would think it was Judson who had been wronged.

"Nancy, if you're mad at me, I must've done something wrong, and it just hurts," Judson sniffled, his voice laced with a pitiful sob.

His strikingly handsome face, now tear-streaked, was a sight that could tug at anyone's heartstrings. Nancy found herself both amused and exasperated. "Well, you did mess up, and maybe you should cry."

Judson froze, staring at Nancy as if she'd just dropped a bombshell. His eyes reddened even more.

In the next moment, he buried his head in her shoulder and let out a full-blown sob.

Nancy quickly interrupted, "But don't you want to talk about what exactly you did wrong?"

Judson hung his head, his voice sounding like that of an abandoned puppy, "I... I hit Cyrus with my car, and you're mad. Nancy, I'm scared you'll leave me for him."

"So you were crying over that?" Nancy raised an eyebrow. "Have you lost your mind?"

Judson looked at her, wide-eyed, "Isn't that it?"

"No, it's not," Nancy replied, rolling her eyes. "I'm mad because you could've seriously hurt him. I know you were aiming to, but is he worth risking your life over?"

She gave Judson a serious look, hesitating briefly before wiping away the tears from his eyes. "Judson, I haven't liked Cyrus in a long time. He's not worth the trouble, and certainly not worth dirtying your hands over."

"I know you're scared I'll abandon you because you can't remember everything, but I won't."

Nancy could still recall the accident vividly, Judson running desperately towards her.

"Judson, until you regain your memory, I'm staying by your side."

Whenever Judson got his memory back, he could leave then.

Nancy rarely explained so much to Judson.

"So you're worried I'd misunderstand and think you're still involved with Cyrus?" Judson asked, his eyes still red.

Nancy paused, then nodded seriously, "Yes."

She definitely didn't want to be associated with someone like Cyrus.

"Nancy, I really like you," Judson exclaimed joyfully, then leaned down to kiss her.

Nancy barely had time to react before she felt his warm lips on hers.

Her heart raced as Judson's face loomed closer, and instinctively, she turned her head.

"Nancy... mmm..."

Whatever she was about to say vanished as Judson's kiss deepened, possessive and overwhelming.

"Nancy, your face is so red," Judson teased, his large hands holding her slim waist, looking at her flushed cheeks and slightly swollen lips.

His breathing was uneven, his gaze deepening.

Even if Judson hadn't pointed it out, Nancy could feel her own face burning, aware of how close they were.

"Let go!" Nancy demanded, trying to pry his hands off and get off him.noveldrama

Judson held her tighter, tilting his head to gaze up at her, "No, I'm too happy! It means you care about me."

Nancy paused, looking at Judson who was being unreasonable. Was he throwing a tantrum?

Just as she was about to scold him, her phone rang, breaking the tension between them.

Nancy was about to grab her phone, but Judson beat her to it, glancing at the caller ID with a frown. "It's Lenard."

He was miffed at the interruption, planning to get back at Lenard later for ruining the moment.

Nancy snatched the phone from him, rolled off, and answered the call, "Hello?" "Hey, Nancy, Baldrick just hit the trending news!"
