Right then, Dylan's phone started ringing, so he pulled it out. Seeing it was Tessa, he picked up the call.

Matthew went up to the sixth floor. He figured he'd ask Tracy about who was waiting for him, only to find out that she had already left.

As he checked in on the work at the laboratory, he found out that everyone was swamped, but there weren't many results to show for it. After all, when it came to research, the chances of making any breakthroughs were quite slim.

Feeling a little disappointed, Matthew took the elevator down.

Walking out of Gembrooke Building through the door, Matthew saw Tessa, and everything clicked. When Rachel said someone was waiting for him, it was her.

Upon seeing Matthew, Tessa felt like her moment for revenge had finally come. "You're finally here, Matthew."

Matthew's expression turned grim. "You were the one who asked for the divorce, Tessa. Now that things are over, we're practically strangers. Can you quit pestering me?"

Tessa was taken aback for a moment. Then, she pointed at her nose and exclaimed, "How am I clinging to you?"

Matthew coldly replied, "After the divorce, I haven't reached out to you at all, but you keep coming back to me every few days. If that's not bothering me, then what is it?

Tessa took a step back and blocked Matthew's path. "We're settling the score today, Matthew. You're not going anywhere."

She shook her head and held her face in disbelief. "I didn't do anything today, yet you hit me first. You actually hit a woman, Matthew?"

In her mind, no matter how much she pushed him, he'd never lay a hand on her. Even the last time he hit her was because she started it. Tessa never expected that Matthew would just hit her. How did Matthew end up like this?

Matthew coldly remarked, "We're divorced, so there's nothing between us anymore. But you keep coming around to mess with me. Of course, I'm going to teach you a lesson. Now, get out of my face!"

Looking at Matthew's cold expression, Tessa felt a wave of fear wash over her.
