Chapter 1234 Not Qualified To Lecture Me!

Robin glanced at the middle–aged man who had stepped forward.

So this was Rishi–the deputy director of the Tanqueria’s National Security Bureau.

“Oh?” Robin said with a faint smirk. “You’re calling my killing of Yakonov at the Northwest Defense Base a monstrous act?”

“It seems our earlier warning wasn’t enough!” Rishi’s expression turned cold. “Drakebane, watch your mouth! If it weren’t for the long–standing ties between us and Draconia, you’d already be dead!”

“Oh really?” Robin dusted the snow off his shoulders and gave a faint smile. “By ties, do you mean your ancestors shamelessly seizing Bobby? Is that the glorious relationship you’re talking about?

“Everyone knows your wolfish ambitions.

“For the sake of land and profit, there’s nothing you won’t stoop to.”

“Drakebane, are you openly defying the authority of the Tanqueria?” Rishi bellowed.

Robin stepped forward, eyes cold as steel. “If you want to call it defiance, then sure–let’s call it that. So what?”

Rishi’s body stiffened, his earlier bravado crumbling in an instant.

He had assumed the might and reputation of the Tanqueria would be enough to intimidate Robin. noveldrama

To his surprise, this fearsome Divine Drakebane remained completely unfazed, his presence so intense it felt like the air itself was closing in.

Even the bitter chill of the Tanqueria’s winter night was smothered by the oppressive air of death that clung to him.

“You… you stormed into our Northwest Defense Base, slaughtered your way through, and wiped out an entire armored division, a regiment, and an air defense squadron. If that’s not a monstrous incident, then what is?

In a flustered attempt to hold on to his authority, Rishi barely maintained the composure expected of the deputy director of the National Security Bureau.

Robin stepped forward, closing the distance between them with quiet menace.

“Fine! Then let me ask you–Yakonov, stationed at the Northwest Base, launched missile exercises right as I entered Snow Valley, despite a direct warning from Lord Quintana of Draconia. Care to explain that?

“This led to the deaths of several people.

“Now you tell me who was Yakonov acting on behalf of? And what do you call what he did?

“No answer? Fine, I’ll spell it out for you. He represented your Tanqueria. And what he did was nothing short of cold–blooded murder!

“You scum, when you’re in power, you’re worse than wild beasts–yet you wrap it all up in the name of justice!

“But the moment someone tougher than you push back, you start screaming about crimes and atrocities!

“Let me make one thing clear–your bully logic? It means nothing to me!

Rishi shook with fury. “Drakebane, this … this attitude of yours isn’t helping anything! Are you trying to make things even worse?”

“I don’t deal with problems by groveling!” Robin snapped, jabbing a finger toward Rishi.

“You say I’m escalating things–so what if I am?

“Yakonov acted on behalf of Tanqueria, reaching out with its claws–an outright declaration of war against me!”

“So unless you give me a real explanation, I’m not backing down. Not until this war ends–on my terms!”

“If you can’t give me an answer, then get lost!

“Otherwise, once the dragon dagger is drawn, none of you will walk out of here alive!”

“Drakebane, you … you’ve gone too far!” Rishi kept stumbling backward as Robin pointed at him, yet he still tried to shout over his fear.

“Do you have any idea how powerful the Tanqueria Special Forces are on this planet?

“No matter how strong you are–if they decide to eliminate you, you won’t even last a few minutes!”

“If you don’t apologize and surrender-”

Smack! Robin’s slap sent Rishi flying before he could finish. “Threaten me again and you won’t walk out of here alive!”

if those two high–ranking guards dared to raise their guns at Robin, the moment they did, everyone here would be dead before they even pulled the trigger.

At that point, the arrival of Tanqueria’s God of War, Gustov, would be utterly meaningless.

“Alexander, you traitor!” Rishi snarled, clutching his swollen cheek. His face twisted in rage as he barked at the two officers, “What are you standing there for? Shoot Drakebane!”

Two colonels had just reached for their weapons when Gustov barked coldly, “Stand down, both of you!”

Thomas, Draconia’s ambassador stationed at Tanqueria, quickly stepped forward and said, “General Binnion, I sincerely apologize for letting things spiral this far.

“Please be restrained and let’s try to resolve this matter through reconciliation.

“General Binnion, give me a moment–I’ll speak to Robin once more.”

Gustov stared at Robin with a blank expression, his silence more oppressive than words.

The cold wind howled across the open space, amplifying the tension that hung thick in the air like a blade poised to strike.

Thomas glanced at Robin with unease, then inhaled deeply before stepping forward again. “Robin … how could you go this far?”

“Mr. Dyer came here to help resolve the issue for you.”

“If we hadn’t negotiated with Tanqueria’s Security Bureau in the hope of resolving the issue through a moderate approach–this whole mess could’ve spiraled way further by now!

“Do you realize that your behavior has already caused us serious …

With a crisp sound, Robin struck Thomas across the face, sending him tumbling backward. “You pathetic coward—you’re not even qualified to lecture me!”

“You

you … you’re completely impossible to reason with!” Thomas shouted, nearly losing his mind.

Robin calmly pulled out a wet wipe, cleaned his palm, and then flung it straight into Thomas‘ face.

“I’ve never cared for reason,” he said coldly. “All I know is–if someone crosses me, I’ll wipe them out. Every last one.”

Thomas trembled with fury, shaking his head. “You … you should think about the bigger picture. Sometimes, individuals must make sacrifices for the greater good!”

“If you say one more word, I’ll make sure you drop dead right here!” Robin jabbed a finger at Thomas, eyes icy cold.

“I don’t care who you are or where you come from–grovel and brag in front of me like that again, and I’ll kill you too!

“Do you even realize how many missiles those bastards fired into Snow Valley? How many innocent lives were lost or shattered?

“If I’d died there, would you have stepped up and declared war on those executioners?

“I know your type. A government lapdog like you wouldn’t dare lift a finger!”
