Not Your Doormat Anymore

Chapter 11

Everyone in the room turned pale upon hearing the sounds of a woman's suggestive moans and a man's heavy breathing.

"How could they play this on their wedding day?"

"Did they play the wrong video? This isn't the bride doing makeup!"

"Fuck, the groom is truly generous!"

Amidst everyone's chatterings, Casey turned around and saw the video of herself and Andrew tangled up together-clear and uncensored. Her face immediately paled.

"Stop playing it! Jace, I'm asking you to stop it, can't you hear me?" she yelled loudly, wanting to stop me.

However, the controller was in my hand, so there was no way I would let Casey have her way.

I stared at her coldly. "Did I force you to do it? Or are you saying that I stripped you off your clothes? You should bear the consequences of your actions."

Even I hadn't expected Casey to be so impatient. She was eagerly getting herself all over Andrew even before the wedding had started.

The video continued to play, and her upper body was fully exposed in the frame.

"This is too much, Jace! Cass is your wife! How could you play such a video in public? Are you trying to ruin her reputation? Hurry up and stop the video!" Brandon stood up and glared at me angrily.

"Who said she's my wife?" I retorted.

"What are you talking about? Isn't this your wedding? What exactly are you trying to do, Jace? What good would it do you if Cass lost her reputation?" Casey's mother, Gina Hammorth, also stood up and urged me.

I ignored them and patiently waited for the video to continue playing. Some of the guests were recording with their phones.

Casey, unable to find the control equipment after looking around, cried as she pleaded with me.

As the scene panned down, everyone finally noticed that the man being intimate with her wasn't me-the groom-but another man. They gasped in shock.

I then picked up the microphone. "Ten days before our wedding day, I found out that my fiancée cheated on me. She hugged and kissed another man, even wearing the same engagement ring and taking wedding photos together."

The huge screen cut to the unedited wedding photo, showing the same man that had been tangled in bed with Casey earlier.

"Wasn't you the one who asked me to take the photos with him? Otherwise, I wouldn't have done that! That's not it! Don't listen to him—we're just friends!" She tried to explain, but no one was listening.

I said, "You're 'just friends,' but you've slept together. It must be nice being your friend, Casey."

I stared at her coldly. "Today is

supposed to be our wedding day. I didn't want to talk about this initially,

but you went and did this in the makeup room. You gave both yourself and your wedding dress away to another man before I even saw you today.

"And yet, you still asked me to marry you. Why should I? I hereby announce that today's wedding is cancelled! As for this meal, consider it my treat-thank you for witnessing me break free from this cheater!"

Although my parents knew about my plan, they still got upset when they saw the video on the huge screen.

It was especially so for Dad, who showed up anyway. He slammed his fist against the table and glared at Brandon. "Is this how you've raised your daughter?"noveldrama

Brandon hadn't expected Casey would be bold enough to pull something like this on her wedding day. For a moment, he was at a loss for words.

Gina said, "This must be a misunderstanding, Eliza. Cass has always been well- behaved. That man must have been the one forcing her... Right, that must be it

She was about to grab Mom's arm, but Mom stepped aside. "Don't touch me!"

Mom had always been mild-tempered, always smiling whenever she met people. This was the first time I'd seen her so openly reject someone.

She could hardly wait to cut ties with the Newton family, seeing how I was humiliated like this.

"All deals with the Newton family are off, and I'm pulling back all

investments! I'd rather lose money than let you continue to disrespect my son!" Dad was even more firm in cutting off any hope they had of making things right.

"You can't do that! They're in love with each other! This must be a mistake-Cass

isn't that type of woman!"

"Please don't leave, Eliza! Please, let us explain!"

The entire place was a mess-both downstairs and on stage.

I felt disgusted seeing Casey and planned to leave after I was done, but she held

onto me tight.
