No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Xenia turned green with envy as she watched the scene from the gate. It was all supposed to be hers, yet Noelle had taken it all away the very moment she

returned.

She felt that the Liddells were ungrateful. She had treated them so well for so many years, yet they had never treated her as well as Noelle.

Xenia turned to the housekeepers and shouted arrogantly. "Why is no one helping me up? Are you all blind or something?"

The housekeepers just ignored her and rushed back into the villa.

Xenia had no choice but to wobble her way into the villa on her own.

Meanwhile, Noelle looked around the villa's interior and said, "The furnishings here remind me of Aldoria."

Frank explained, "That's right. Mom and Dad designed it long ago, and we never changed a thing. We tried to keep it as it was."

Her eyes became filled with a sense of nostalgia.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Xenia had entered the house. So she deliberately asked, "Where's my room?"

Frank immediately replied, "It's upstairs. We've already tidied it up for you."noveldrama

"If that's the case, that would mean that a certain someone might not have a place to stay anymore," Noelle turned to Xenia with a feigned look of concern. "But I guess it can't be helped. This house was bought by my parents, and the biggest room was always meant for me."

Xenia furiously retorted, "Donovan already bought me another house as compensation!"

It would seem that Donovan really did treat Xenia well.

Frank saw through Xenia's attempt at showing off and replied bluntly. "Since Donovan already got you another house, you should move out."

Xenia's expression shifted immediately, and she was at a loss for words for a long time.

Blake nodded in agreement. "That's right. You aren't really our family, after all. It's not right for you to live with us."

Xenia was so furious that she started to cry. But this time, no one came to comfort her.

Frank, Blake, and even Lucas were all on Noelle's side, pretending as if Xenia did not even exist.

Noelle casually strolled upstairs as she deliberately shot Xenia a provocative look.

It was only just the beginning.

Noelle returned to her room and felt emotional for a moment.

In her previous life, she never even had the chance to set foot into the villa, let alone stay in her room. It was given away to Xenia, and nothing was ever left for Noelle.

Soon, it was time for dinner.

Donovan had returned, and Xenia was the first to rush forward and greet him. Aside from Donovan, the rest of the brothers no longer cared about her after all.

Donovan noticed that Xenia's arm was scraped, and his expression immediately sank. "How did you get hurt?"

Xenia stammered, "When Noelle returned, accidentally walked in front of her, and she got angry about it. It's not her fault, Donovan, really. She finally got to come home, so I don't really want to cause trouble."

"Hmph! Who the hell does she think she is? Does Noelle think that she can do whatever she wants?" Donovan replied before storming into the villa.

A cold smirk appeared on Xenia's face as she stood at the side. As long as

Donovan was still on her side, no one else could really harm her.

Noelle was sitting on the sofa when she looked up to see Donovan approaching her with an angry look on his face. It was apparent that Xenia had already voiced hep complaints to him.

Donovan spoke up. "Noelle, you've only just come back, and you're already causing trouble! Why did you hurt Xenia?"

Noelle lifted her gaze slightly with an amused look, not saying anything.

Blake then stood up with an irritated look. He stepped forward to grab Xenia's hair and then shove her to the ground.

Xenia screamed out loud. "Donovan!"

Donovan was so shocked that he could only stare at Blake and asked, "What are you doing?"

"I'm showing you how Xenia got hurt, Donovan. Do you see it now? This is exactly what happened. It had nothing to do with Noelle," Blake replied.

It took quite some time for Donovan to squeeze out a response. "There's no need for you to do it again!"

Noelle could not help but laugh. It was just too entertaining of a scene.

Donovan, both furious and embarrassed, glared at Noelle and said, "How can you

still laugh, Noelle? Everything here happened because of you!"

Noelle slammed her cup down and put up a dramatic tone. "Oh, I guess this family doesn't really like my company that much. I guess I should be taking my leave then. So much for that so-called

reconciliation that we talked about just a few days ago, hmm?"

With that, she walked out of the villa.

Blake seemed as if he had given up. "Donovan! If Lucas and I end up in jail, it's because you made Noelle leave!"

Donovan's face turned red from anger as he turned around to chase after Noelle.
