No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 243

Frank stared at Morgan. "I'm Noelle's brother!"noveldrama

"What? You're her brother? But didn't Noelle say her parents passed away and that she's an orphan?"

Morgan was shocked. Where did this 'brother' come from?

Frank turned to Noelle, his expression slightly exasperated. "Noelle, do you really dislike the Liddell family that much?"

Noelle replied to Morgan, "It's true that my parents are gone, and I don't have any family." She didn't want to acknowledge any connection to the Liddell family.

"Noelle, I know you're angry with the family, but now's not the time to be stubborn." Frank sighed, clearly frustrated by her refusal to back down.

He then turned to Morgan. "Here's my card and ID. Noelle is my biological sister. She's only saying otherwise because of some disagreements with the family, but she does have a family."

Morgan looked at the business card and ID, noticing that Frank's last name matched Noelle's, and their registered household address was the same.

His expression grew awkward. He hadn't expected Noelle to have family and an affluent one at that. From the business card, it turned out that Frank was the CEO of a company. So, were the rumors about Noelle being a sugar baby likely false?

Patrick softly remarked, "Looks like a young lady running away from home after a fight."

Morgan's face grew redder by the second. Everything he'd said earlier had backfired.

He finally spoke up, trying to salvage the situation. "We didn't know about Noelle's family situation before and may have misunderstood. But the fact remains that she implanted a program to hack into several classmates' phones, which was clearly wrong!"

"But those classmates spread defamatory rumors about my sister. If they're mad about it, they can talk to my lawyer. I have no problem with suing them one by one!"

Frank's stance was unwavering. He wasn't going to let anyone bully his sister. Morgan, who was unsure of how to proceed, turned to Bruce for guidance. "Mr. York, what do you think should be done about this?"

Noelle wasn't just any orphaned student from a low-income family-she was clearly well-off and came from an influential family, which made things more complicated.

Bruce shifted his gaze to Frank. "However, Noelle also had conflicts with the business school students. As someone with experience in the business world, Mr. Liddell, you must understand the potential fallout.

"If their parents get involved, it could cause trouble for you as well." After all, no one would want to cross the students' parents.

Frank scoffed, "They started with the false accusations. The Liddell family will not back down!"

Noelle cut in coldly, "No one asked you to interfere. This is my problem to handle!" She glared at Frank. "Leave. I don't need you meddling in my affairs."

"Noelle, even if you're upset, let me handle this first."

"I've already cut ties with the Liddell family. You have no right to handle my business!"

Noelle refused to accept any help from the Liddell family, nor did she want to have anything to do with them.

Frank offered a bitter smile, but when he turned to Bruce, his demeanor grew firm. "The Liddell family will see this matter through to the end!"

Noelle was beyond frustrated and turned to Morgan. "Weren't you asking me to explain my relationship with that man and where I get my income? I can prove it!"

At that moment, Noelle remembered she was a signed top-tier streamer and a core member of the Maple Enterprise's research team. She certainly wasn't short on money.

Morgan awkwardly cleared his throat. "Since your brother is here, there's no need for further proof."

"He's not my brother. I can prove my own case!"

Despite her protest, Morgan dismissed her words, treating her like a spoiled

heiress throwing a tantrum. It was maddening.

Just then, Bruce's phone rang. His tone became more respectful as he picked up

the phone. "Yes, understood. I'll take care of it on my end."

Bruce turned to Noelle after hanging up. "Our investigation confirms that the forum posts were defamatory and were unrelated to you."
