"Is he still in the industry?"

"As far as I know, no. With his family background, he couldn't possibly stay with Team Hone."

Noelle realized that King probably came from a wealthy family. After hanging up the phone, she turned around and saw Samuel.

"Noelle, you have quite a talent for gaming. If you want to join the team in the future officially, I believe you can make it."

"Thank you."

"Is your reason for joining the team just for fun, or do you have other plans?"

"I want to join the national team!" That was one of Noelle's goals.

Samuel's eyes flashed with a hint of disdain. Did she say she wanted to join the national team? How naive she was getting into the national team wasn't so easy. However, he didn't show it on the surface.

"That's a great dream, but you'll need to work hard for it. Make sure to come for training regularly."

She nodded obediently. "I understand."

"Noelle, would you like to go out tonight? I can show you around."

"No thanks. I have something to do tonight."

"Don't misunderstand. It's a welcome dinner for the recruits. You just became a reserve player; it wouldn't be right for you not to go."

Noelle reluctantly agreed. That evening, she went with the gaming club members to the dinner location. When she arrived, she was surprised to find they were at a bar.

Samuel looked at her. "It's your first time here, right? Don't be scared. I'll look out for you."

"Wow. Samuel is playing the hero now."

"Samuel, you're so protective of Noelle. We might get jealous!"

He quickly waved his hand. "Don't say that. You'll scare her."

This made Noelle feel a little uneasy inside. She deliberately avoided Samuel's hand, creating some distance between them. The group headed upstairs to the private room.

Just then, Alfred stepped out for a phone call and saw Noelle with

His eyes widened in surprise he couldn't be mistaken, right?

He turned and entered the VIP room, where several young men in suits were

seated, exuding an air of wealth. They were playing poker.

He walked over to Cedric's side and whispered, "I just saw Nelly."

Cedric frowned. "What's she doing here?"

"I'm not sure either, but it looked like she came with her classmates. They were laughing and talking, and a guy was acting attentive by her side."

Cedric's eyes immediately darkened. "Are you sure?"

"Definitely. Their private room is on the second floor. But now that she's in college,

it's normal for her to meet new people and have admirers."

Upon realizing Cedric's face turned darker, Alfred wisely decided not to say anything else. But soon, Cedric grew visibly upset, dominating the poker table while others struggled with their losses.

"Cedric, what's with you today?"

Alfred awkwardly scratched his nose; he had guessed the reason. Cedric said he would let go, but he just couldn't.

In the private room downstairs, Noelle sat in the corner, not at all interested in toasting or building connections.

Samantha walked in with Xenia and, with a wave of her hand, declared, "I'll cover the bill for today!"

"Thank you, Ms. Merlock!"

She turned to look at Noelle. "But not for her. I won't pay for her."
