When Darrian returned home, he heard his son sobbing in his room. Since there were no more incidences of Ethan being terrified, Darrian suggested he return to his room. That night, Ethan was whimpering and running a fever. Darian barely slept a wink while worrying about his son. By morning, he was exhausted. He took Ethan to see the doctor. Dr. Ray gave Ethan fever drips and then sent him home. Darian called Hannah while he was at the hospital and told her he would be coming to work after he grabbed a few hours of sleep because he was exhausted. The driver drove them home, and then Darrian gave Ethan pancakes and put him to bed after eating.

At work, Hannah called Aunty Jacky, the Nanny, to let her know the children, and she would visit Ethan to cheer him up. Aunty Jacky said she would love to visit the sick child with them. Hannah drove over with the children to Darrian's house. A smile lit up when Ethan saw his siblings, and he felt comforted by their presence. With his siblings around, he felt confident and safe.

He demanded, wanting to know where and when Ethan got that mark. With a shrug, Ethan admitted that he got it when he fell at school. Hannah and Ethan wanted to know why the teacher did not call to let his dad know he was injured. He lied and said his mom knew. By this time, Darrian was hopping mad. Why didn't Charmaine tell him that his son was injured?

Darrian's anger flared, and he continued to shout at Ethan, causing tears to well up in his son's eyes. Hannah swiftly picked up Ethan, cradling him in her arms. She whispered soothing words to him, telling him everything would be okay. Ethan nestled his head against Hannah's neck, finding solace in her comforting embrace.
