Chapter 824 Cooking for Theodore for a Month
Phoebe didn't expect Taylor to bring up old issues in such a tricky way. She was stunned for a moment, not knowing how to respond.
Seeing this, Taylor's eyes filled with even more mockery. "What, feeling guilty?"
"Before I divorced Mr. Reynolds, I indeed couldn't conceive. I didn't lie to you," Phoebe took a deep breath, not understanding why she was explaining this to Taylor.noveldrama
She even thought, maybe it would be better to just let her misunderstand.
Taylor sneered, "You think I would believe you? You cured your infertility in a month and had triplets with another man. Who would believe that?"
Phoebe was at a loss for words, blocked by Taylor. After a long silence, she calmly said, "At this point, what's the point of digging up the past?"
Taylor glared at her, her expression fierce. "What's the point? We were fooled and trampled by you. I can't swallow this."
"So what will it take for you to let it go?" Phoebe sighed silently.
Taylor got even angrier at her nonchalant tone, knowing she didn't care at all.
But thinking of Theodore's sad expression, she said, "Go to the Imperial Apartment and cook dinner for Theodore for a month, and I'll consider forgiving you."
Phoebe was surprised by Taylor's request, but thinking of her current relationship with Theodore, "This request is not appropriate, I..."
"What, afraid Theodore will embarrass you? Phoebe, haven't you embarrassed Theodore enough? You made him suffer, at least let him vent a bit, right?" Taylor said coldly.
She clearly understood Taylor's intention. Now that Theodore was still angry with her, appearing in front of him at this time would be a thankless task no matter what she did.
Taylor wanted Theodore to vent all his resentment towards her and then cut off contact.
Phoebe could refuse Taylor's unreasonable request, but thinking of Theodore's expression last night, she changed her mind.
"Okay, I'll go."
Satisfied with the answer, Taylor left. Before leaving, she glanced at Phoebe's belly, not knowing what she was thinking.
After seeing Taylor off, Phoebe was restless all day. Near the end of the workday, she packed up and left the office.
She went to the supermarket, bought Theodore's favorite foods, and went to the Imperial Apartment.
Taylor had given her the password to the Imperial Apartment, but with her hands full, she used her fingerprint instead.
The door opened, and she stood at the entrance, stunned. Theodore hadn't deleted her fingerprint from the system. Did that mean he still...
Phoebe quickly stopped her wild thoughts, nudged the door open with her toe, and squeezed inside, carrying the groceries into the kitchen.
She had lived in the Imperial Apartment for four years and was very familiar with it. Standing in the spotless kitchen felt like coming home.
She stood in the kitchen for a while, forcing back the tears that welled up, then put on an apron and started cooking dinner.
Taylor only said she needed to cook dinner, not wait for Theodore to come back and eat. She planned to take advantage of this loophole and leave after cooking.
Theodore hadn't gone to the office today. He had come back from the estate in the morning, his cold worsening, and went straight to the Imperial Apartment.
He had slept fitfully all day, and in a half-dream state, heard the door open. Annoyed, he lay in bed for a while, then got up to get some water.
At the kitchen door, he saw the busy woman inside. A wave of vulnerability surged up.

He took a few steps inside and hugged her from behind, nuzzling his face into her neck like a contented cat.
"You heartless woman," Theodore's voice was hoarse, tinged with a vulnerability that pulled at the heartstrings.
Phoebe stiffened, not expecting Theodore to be home.
"You didn't go to work?" She looked down and saw him in silk loungewear, the sleeves slightly wrinkled, indicating he had just gotten up from bed.
Theodore didn't speak. The warm, sweet scent of her skin made him linger. He nuzzled her neck again.
A current ran from her neck through her entire body, and Phoebe didn't dare move.
They stood there quietly for a while until Phoebe felt something pressing against her lower back. Realizing what it was, her face turned bright red.
She couldn't stay still any longer and hurriedly pushed him away.
Theodore bent slightly, calming the intense heat inside him. He said, "Get me a glass of water."
He then went to sit down, elegantly crossing his legs to cover himself.
Phoebe's breathing was hot, her cheeks burning. She took a cup from the cabinet, rinsed it under the tap, and filled it with water, placing it by his hand.
She turned back to the kitchen to continue cooking.
Theodore held the cup, staring at her busy back, and said hoarsely, "Why are you at
the Imperial Apartment? Did you come specifically to cook for me?"

Phoebe pressed her lips together, not wanting him to misunderstand. "Your mom asked me to cook for you, as a form of atonement."
Theodore, being so smart, understood immediately. He sneered, "I kn overthinking. I thought..."
"Thought what?"
Theodore didn't answer, but his mood clearly worsened.
I was
Phoebe quickly finished cutting the meat and vegetables. As she was about to start cooking, she saw Theodore still sitting there, drinking water slowly. "The kitchen will smell in a bit. You should go out."
Theodore glanced at her and left with his water cup.
Phoebe quietly sighed in relief. Without someone watching her, she felt much more at
ease. Soon, she finished cooking, all light dishes.
She brought the food out and went to call him.
After searching the living room, she didn't see Theodore. She checked the master bedroom but didn't find him, so she headed to the study.
In the study, Theodore was on the phone. Through the slightly open door, Phoebe heard him say, "Then blacklist them."
Phoebe's heart skipped a beat. 'Who was Theodore going to blacklist?
Her phone suddenly vibrated in her bag. She accidentally kicked the door, making a
crisp sound. Afraid Theodore would catch her eavesdropping, she quickly turned and
ran.
Back in the living room, she glanced at her toe, which had a piece of skin peeled off and was bleeding slightly. It hurt, but she ignored it and quickly answered the phone.
Lori's voice came through, "Ms. Ziegler, Claire and Noah are in trouble." Phoebe's heart sank. Thinking of Theodore's words earlier, she gripped her phone tightly. He was indeed going after her company's actors.
