I didn't expect Leo's first words after approaching me to be anything remotely like that.

I was in a T-shirt and jeans, no makeup on, with a pencil still tangled in my hair.

He actually thought I looked beautiful like this?

I awkwardly took the bouquet from him.

It was "Endless Summer," the symbol of everlasting love - my favorite before.

Leo used to say that having flowers around might bring pollen into the office, triggering Luna's allergies. So, we hardly kept flowers at home, and I rarely received any from him.

It might sound ridiculous now, but back then, it really mattered to me.

I remember one time, I ordered flowers to surprise him, only to bump into Luna at the florist. She playfully complained about her allergies and, as if on cue, reminded Leo of his busy schedule.

Since that day, I hadn't received any more flowers from him, and over time, "Endless Summer" became a symbol of everything that had gone wrong.

"Elizabeth, since Leo's here, I'll leave you guys to it. We'll talk about the design drafts later," Rolin said considerately as he stepped away.

I watched Rolin leave, absentmindedly noting that my drafts should be be ready the day after tomorrow. Lost in thoughts, I almost missed Leo's next words.
