Crawling Back To Her Series Redemption and Refuse

Redemption 16

Book2 Chapter

The truth is, I never liked this look either.

It was Leo's idea of perfection, not mine.

The first time I attended one of his company events, it was just after he had started his business. I had just graduated from university, and I wore what I thought was my best

outfit at that time.

But the moment Luna walked in, it hit me just how different

we really were.

She exuded refinement, confidence, and charm, effortlessly

captivating everyone around her.

Dressed in a striking red gown, she glided through the crowd with Leo by her side, moving with such ease and grace.

He carefully shielded her from the endless flow of drinks,

while she effortlessly engaged in conversations.

Meanwhile, I stood awkwardly in the corner, watching them

like an outsider.

All I wanted back then was to quietly wait for Leo to finish so

we could leave together, so I could escape.

But one of his colleagues spotted me and pulled me into a group for drinks.

I ended up drunk, and from what I was told, I made quite thenoveldrama

scene.

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Leo on the phone, making apology calls for the mess I had caused.

After that, I decided I wouldn't attend his events anymore.

I didn't want to embarrass him again.

And more than anything, I didn't want to watch him with

Luna.

Because every time I saw them together, an overwhelming wave of jealousy wold wash over me. And Leo's response never changed:

“It's just work, Elizabeth. Stop overreacting."
