Redemption 136

Book11 Chapter9.

I clutched Jayden's sleeve, tears welling up as I asked, "Honey, is what they're

saying true? Are you really keeping this mistress downstairs?"

"I-I didn't," he stammered.

Jayden stammered his denial.

Before I could respond, the group of ladies wasn't having it.

"Didn't? You scumbag, you dare say you didn't?"

I never expected that these women had more evidence than I did. They were one step away from giving me a full PowerPoint presentation on it.noveldrama

The lady from 501 earnestly advised me, "Ms. Carter, cheating only happens once

or countless times. You don't have kids. While you're still young, get a divorce quickly. The sooner, the better."

I held back my laughter and agreed, "Yes, we must get divorced."

"Since he's already made a home downstairs, you might as well kick this scumbag

out. Let him sleep wherever he wants."

I continued to agree, "Yes, I'll kick him out tonight!"

Hearing that was really going to divorce him and kick him out, Jayden panicked and blurted out the truth, "You just said this house is half mine. If you want me to move out, you have to give me half the house's value!"

The neighbors were outraged. "You still want her house?"

"What's wrong with taking what's mine?"

Seeing me still trying to calm everyone down and Jayden showing no shame, everyone was furious. They al kindly advised me not to let love cloud my

judgment and be tricked into doing something stupid by Jayden.

"Your husband is walking all over you. How can we stay calm?"

"You're not seriously going to forgive him, are you?"

"Ms. Carter, don't do anything foolish."

I couldn't help but tear up. I never expected to have such kind and supportive neighbors.

I showed them the property deed with only my name on it and said gratefully, "Thank you for standing up for me. Rest assured, this house was a special gift from my dad to me alone. Even if I don't divorce this scumbag, he has no claim to it."

I turned to Jayden and said sternly, "You're keeping a mistress

downstairs, and she's openly challenged me multiple times. Plus, you two make noise every night, disturbing everyone's life. We have all the evidence now. Jayden, do you have anything left to explain?"

Jayden didn't expect things to blow up this much. He slumped to the ground,

mumbling meekly, "There's nothing to explain. I was wrong.

Honey, I really know I was wrong."
