Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1689

As she fiddled with his hand, Victoria turned over and rolled. From the pulling

force, Trevor followed her into the water. He tugged at her with one hand and held the swimming ring with the other as if to care for a child. He watched her flopping around in the water like a duck.

In fact, Victoria knew how to swim, but as a result of the leg injury and being kept locked up by Trevor all the time as well as Waverly's recent unexpected gloominess, she could not help but be intimidated by water. Even if it was an indoor space, her situation was not any better than Waverly's. It was lifethreatening if she made a mistake!

It was why Trevor had been insisting that he would not let her participate in any other exercises except walking and simple stretching. She could only go into the pool for a while under his company. He also got her a swimming ring ready which could be used for rest and stop at any time in the pool.

Victoria paid attention to her body. After swimming for two laps, Victoria did not dare to go far. Instead, she revolved around the swimming ring. As for Trevor, he was slowly turning around on the spot like a top, stretching out to support her whenever needed.

Looking at her messing around happily in the water, his eyes were filled with affection.

"Alas..."

All of a sudden, there was a cry of surprise. Trevor instinctively grabbed her wrist and dragged her into his arms. "What's wrong?"

Hooking his neck, Victoria grabbed the swim buoy with one hand as she kissed him wittily on the cheek. "I don't know what just happened. I was scared. It's all right!"

In his arms, Victoria felt relieved and happy like never before.

"Hubby, I can't swim anymore. Push me over!" While speaking, she had climbed into the swimming ring while remaining to tug at Trevor's hand in the water, acting like a spoiled child.

"Well, hold on tight!"

Just like before going into the water, Victoria went to the center of the swimming ring with her calves dangling in the water. While Trevor swam, he pushed the swim buoy in the direction of the shore.

As they moved slowly, the duo would exchange glances and smile from time to time, or stop to talk for a while. Half prone and crouched to hold the neck of the flamingo swim buoy, Victoria smiled with curved eyebrows.

It was like when her father had led her to the pool to play around with water for the first time when she was a child! Back then, she had held onto the swimming ring tightly because she had been afraid, but right then, it was a sweet enjoyment.

A blissful marriage was when the husband would treat the wife as his daughter. Was that how she was feeling right then?

Looking back all of a sudden, Victoria realized that they had been married for almost three years, but right then, only then did they feel that they were a couple, growing more attached to each other.

When she came to herself in a trance, she was standing by the shore. Right then, Trevor was wiping the water drops on her body with a large towel, rubbing her little face but also pulling at her hair.

"The man is gentle, but he's a little stupid!" Victoria scowled to herself.

Taking over the towel, Victoria helped wipe him in return while giggling.

As soon as he glanced at the phone, he heard her laughter. Raising his gaze, Trevor stared at her for three seconds. "Why are you laughing?"

Was she possessed?

Pursing her lips, Victoria gave him an eye roll. Were his eyes decorations? Couldn't he tell that she was in high spirits?

Confused, Trevor shot her a puzzled gaze.

"Hm?"

Victoria rubbed his arm twice with force and mumbled, "I don't know who's the silly one."

The next second, she leaned against his straight and strong body. "I suddenly feel that an awful beginning can have a beautiful future as well. I'm happy, very much so! It's as if I'm dreaming!"

Life was like playing chess. No matter how terrible things were, there was hope as long as one persevered! Although the process might be a little complicated, it was a smooth ending, wasn't it?

After all, she was lucky!

"Honey, do you regret that there is a change in your partner?"

She had no idea if they were considered to have developed feelings for each other after getting along for a long time, but Victoria suddenly realized that the true meaning of marriage did not lie within the right person. Instead, it was based on oneself being contented and blissful. As some would say, there were people who would lead a happy marriage no matter who one got married to. In the past, she would scoff at it, but right then, she agreed that the management of feelings and communication was what mattered in a marriage. As long as one was not a heartless lunatic, happiness was within reach.

Trevor knew what she was talking about. Right then, he no longer avoided the question. "Silly girl! You can't expect everything to be perfect according to your will. Now, I think everything's perfect enough for me!"

Trevor raised his hand and pinched her cheek affectionately.

"Vicky, we all have pasts. No matter if it's a misunderstanding or an accident, it's all over. Fate brought us together as a couple. Since God has arranged for us to make it up till today, we should cherish our relationship, shouldn't we?"

Taking her hand, Trevor kissed her heavily on the back of her hand. "I have no regrets. I'm afraid that if I miss out on you again, that will be the biggest regret in my life!"

He had to say that it was fate that played tricks on Selena, but since he had missed out on her and chosen Victoria, he would not be a womanizer. In the past, he had some feelings left for Selena, but right then, they were cleared by Selina herself. How could she be compared with Victoria?

Looking up, Trevor wanted to ask, "What about you?"

When the words arrived at the tip of his tongue, however, he stared at her for a long time, and for some unknown reason, was unable to get the words out of his mouth!

He knew a little about her past with Anthony. He knew it better than anyone else about how they parted ways. In fact, Trevor was even more afraid at the mention of the topic.

It seemed that she understood his thoughts, so Victoria went straight to the point by speaking her mind.

"Me too! I used to hate Anthony and you. I had a knot in my heart that I couldn't get rid of. In fact, I was the one who suffered the most in the end. If meet him again, I'd like to tell him that let bygones be bygones! Although he didn't end up being my husband, I have a wonderful man as one. I am lazy, so I won't waste my effort on others, as long as I'm happily married now..."

To put it more accurately, all she needed right then was happiness!

No one dared to predict the future. All she wanted was to happily enjoy the present and take every step forward carefully. It was enough for there to be no regrets!

"I don't want to hate him anymore. Without him, I wouldn't have met you. We've gotten even! When I get to meet him again, I will tell him clearly. Don't target him anymore!" Except for the incident, Anthony did give her a sweet first love.

As Victoria recalled the past, she felt that she used to be too stupid. She would be in pain every day. Instead, after the inexplicable kidnapping, she felt what it meant to be relaxed and happy!

As if a thought flashed through her mind, Victoria raised her head from his arms and said.

"By the way, is there any news about the man who caught you? Why is there no news from the police? Will it end up having no updates like a stone that fell into the sea? We almost lost our lives. This is too irresponsible!"

They had an idea of what had

happened. Trevor knew that the man on that day was most likely Anthony.

All his reactions and behavior

that day might be to buy time protect the two in disguise, but when his eyes fell on the woman with a deep frown from worry for him, he couldn't help but be selfish and reach out to hug her in his arms. noveldrama

"There are some clues. They were hired. Those who were hired are former criminal fighters, but for the sake of wiping all of them out, I haven't taken any action for the time being. They won't be able to escape. Perhaps I was too careless and went overboard, so I offended others. I will be careful in the future!"

Avoiding some key points, Trevor didn't mention Anthony. In fact, he knew that Anthony must want him dead. The reason why he did so must be Victoria. Perhaps having feelings for Victoria was the reason why Anthony had protected him along under those circumstances.

The more so, the more he dared not tell Victoria everything. After all, it involved drugs. Regardless, he hoped that the less she knew, the better!

"I see! That's why I say that the civil servants of Casterwich City are known for their effectiveness in serving the people. It's impossible for them to do nothing! Knowing the reason, I can rest assured. Else, I will

always be worried! Hubby, you should be more tactful in handling affairs in the future. Don't put up the arrogant act like you always do. It's tough for us to avoid the villains in

the dark!"

She knew that once his bad temper erupted, he would have the slightest patience.

At that point, he was far worse than Frederick. At least, Frederick was flexible after some coaxing and persuasion. On the other hand, Trevor would not show mercy in returning the favor after being provoked. He had never known to give others a warning!

In fact, the two of them were the same. They would not easily throw a fit unless they were hit in their bottom lines. Frederick, however, was more reserved and indifferent by character. Since Trevor was in the entertainment circle, he was considered to be tactful.

Since his wife said so, Trevor had to nod and say, "Okay, I'll obey your words! I will be careful in the future."

Victoria responded with a joyful hum.

As they spoke, they entered the house in each other's embrace.

Time flew. Happy moments

were always

short. In the blink of an eye, passed.

half a month

On that day, she went to attend a public event with her mother-in-law. After returning home, she took a nap for a moment to calm down before heading to the beauty salon to relax her body as well as carry out skincare and maintenance. On the phone with Trevor, an enchanting figure came into view as soon as Victoria came up to the side of the car. Looking at the slim figure leaning on the door, she could barely hold herself back from flinging the car keys in her hand

away.

Selena?

What was she doing there?

When Victoria's gaze fell on her, Selena's soft body slowly straightened up. "Miss

Atlas, do you have time? I want to talk to you!"

"We don't seem to know each other well. I don't think it's necessary!" Apart from

Trevor, there seemed to be no other topic between them, but since Trevor was her husband, she had the right to reject the invitation.

Stepping forward, Victoria was just about to open the door when a leather bag

suddenly entered her sight. "There are some secrets that are related to you! Do you really not want to know?"

Selena gave a deliberate pause but slowly withdrew her hand and spoke in a voice with moderate volume, "You should know that I'm not biologically related to Trevor. Who could your biological cousin be then?"
