Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 43

ELLA POV

I had moved back into the apartment above the cafe and I was still working there without any trouble from Sara or Sierra. But my coworker Travis kept asking me a lot of questions about my situation. I could tell that he was worried, but there was nothing to be worried about.

I'd survived much worse. At least now I didn't have anyone telling me what to do or beating me when I didn't do what they wanted me to do.

I could tell that Travis was worried about me, but I also tried to keep as much distance between us as possible.

He was starting to get that look in his eye and I definitely wasn't in the mood for dating.

"What happens if Sara insists that Mr. Calvert fire you?" Travis asked.

"He won't." I said.

"How do you know that?" Travis asked. And I stopped what I was doing to look at him.

"Because his wife already kicked me out of the house because of the fighting between me and Sara. He's not going to leave me jobless as well. Besides, this job is the best one I've ever had. So I definitely won't be leaving here without a fight. Don't worry about me Travis. I know how to take care of myself." I said. So he nodded his head and he got back to work as well.

It wasn't too much longer before I heard whispering coming from the rest of the staff and I looked up to see Sara standing at the counter.

My stomach dropped immediately and my heart started pounding in my chest.

I didn't know if I had the energy to put up with her today. I was exhausted and I needed to go and get some rest. But I was working full time hours at this cafe so I wasn't really getting a chance to get much rest.

"She wants you to serve her." Travis said. And I stood there for a second taking a couple of deep breaths before I walked over to the counter.

"What can I get you?" I asked, looking at her very indifferently.

"An Americano please." She said.

"Damn. That's gonna burn down the back of my shirt." I said as I walked over to the coffee machine.

As soon as I finished making her coffee I handed it to her and she gave me a piece of paper.

I looked at her confused, so I opened it and there was an address on it.

"I want to sort everything out with you. Tonight. But we can't do it at home. Not with my parents there. Can you meet me here when you finish work?" She asked.

I had a bad feeling about this. Sara had made no attempts at trying to sort things out with me. She hated me, which she obviously thought I would just simply overlook. But I really didn't know if I could trust her.

"Please? I promise that I just want to talk." She said.

"About what? I mean, your mother banished me. The pack's yours. There's not really much more to say." I said.

"This isn't about the pack or our parents. This is about us being sisters. Which I obviously overlooked because I was so desperate to be the next Alpha of the pack. I'm sorry and I think we need to have a conversation about this. But not here with everyone looking at us." She said.

I still hesitated for a moment before I finally agreed. I wanted her to leave because she was making me feel uneasy and I told her that I would meet her at the address after work.

She smiled at me and took her coffee and left the cafe.noveldrama

Travis was standing near me and he told me that I was an idiot for trusting her. She's a conniving bitch. But the truth is, she's still my sister and as much as I didn't trust her, I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt here.

I didn't have a family. Dean was the only one that was really acting like my family and I haven't heard from him since his mate kicked me out. So I don't even know if I can rely on him right now.

When work was over I put the address of this place into my phone to find out where the hell it was and it was pointing to a house out of town.

I had to call an uber because I couldn't walk that far and I gave him the address.

The uber driver even looked concerned and he stopped at the edge of a dirt road that led up to the house where Sara wanted to meet me.

"Are you sure this is the right place?" He asked.

"Yeah. It's the address I was given." I said. And he was looking around, just as much as I was.

"Are you sure you're not being set up?" He asked.

"I honestly don't know. My sister does hate me so it's a possibility. But I told her that I would hear her out." I said. So he grabbed out a piece of paper and started writing something on it.

"Alright. Look, here's my number. The second you think you might be in trouble, get the hell out of there and call me. I'll come straight back and get you." He said, handing me his number.

"Thanks. I appreciate it." I said.

"You're an attractive young woman. A lot of things can happen to someone like

you." He said. And I reached in my bag and pulled out a taser.

"I've got a little friend to help me." I said. And he nodded his head.

'That actually does make me feel a little bit better." He said.

I got out of the car and he stayed there while I started walking up the dirt driveway.

I could hear owls hooting in the distance and the trees moving in the wind.

The further I walked down the driveway, the darker it got because the moonlight couldn't break through the density of the forest.

It was a really eerie feeling and with every noise I heard, I would jump around and make sure that there was no one sneaking up on me.

I assured myself that I was just being silly. There were obviously a lot of animals around here. That's all it was.

But I took my phone out and I turned the torch on so I could see where I was going. I couldn't see anything anymore because the moon was completely hidden by the trees.

I wasn't sure how long this driveway went for but I felt a shiver run up my spine when I turned around and realized that I couldn't see the Uber driver anymore. I hadn't heard him leave, but I had taken a couple of bends in the driveway and that's why I couldn't see him.

I eventually saw a little wood cabin in the middle of nowhere that looked abandoned.

I stopped walking as soon as I saw it, the fog was also getting my attention. It was slowly creeping across the ground, but it only appeared as soon as I saw the cabin.

I could see a dim light inside which I assumed were candles going, giving me another chill up my spine. I stood there staring at this one story cabin, that had all of the wooden shutters closed and only one door right at the front of the cabin.

An owl landed on a branch right next to me and started hooting which caused me to jump cause it scared me.

"This can't be right. There's no way Sara would even know about this place." I said to myself.

I decided that I wasn't going to go inside. I was going to turn around and go back home to my apartment. But just as I turned around a mouth suddenly covered my mouth and nose with a rag.

I struggled as much as I could but I felt myself getting weaker before everything turned black and I passed out.

I woke up with a startle and I was lying on the floor of that cabin with a woman standing over a table with all sorts of potions and concoctions in front of her.

She saw that I was awake, but my arms were tied behind my back and I couldn't move.

"Hello." She said.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I asked.

"Well, as you can probably see I'm a witch. I take that very seriously. And thanks

to that prophecy that I managed to get my hands on, I know exactly who you are.”

She said.

"What are you talking about? I'm not one." I said.

"You're the white wolf that's going to break the curse."

"I don't have a wolf." I said. Trying to get this crazy ass woman to see reason.

"Not yet. You will soon though. And I can't have you breaking any damn curse. Those two packs are going to keep suffering for what they did to my great grandmother. We've been told about the prophecy and I just happen to be the lucky one that was here to catch the white wolf." She explained, walking closer to me. Her great grandmother was the one that both packs banded together to kill.

She leaned down in front of me and I tried to sit up but she forced me back down and she grabbed my cheeks really hard, causing them to open and she lifted her other hand that had a vile in it and she poured it down my throat before I knew what the hell she was doing.

"What the hell?" I asked.

"That's a poison that's strong enough to kill an Alpha. I am not letting you break any damn curse. You and your white wolf will never cure those bastards after what they did." She said, standing up.

Within seconds I started writhing and screaming in pain as I felt the poison coursing through my body, burning my insides and twisting them all together.

I let out a scream and I saw a smile of gratification on the witch's face.

I don't know why, but right at this second, screaming in pain, I started thinking of

the twins. I saw their faces flashing through my mind before another wave of pain hit me.

I knew that my death would be bad for the twins. I saw what this curse was doing

to wolves. Celie showed me. And I didn't want them to suffer for the rest of their lives because of me.

How could I have been so fucking stupid?

Just as I was screaming and writhing on the ground, the front door of the cabin was kicked in and I looked over to see Tristan and Nathan run inside.

The witch wasn't expecting it and she tried to run but Nathan grabbed her by the throat and threw her straight into the fireplace, really hurting her, but she still managed to get up.

She managed to push open the wooden shutters of the window and jump out while Nathan gave chase outside the cabin.

Tristan ran over to me and wrapped me up in his arms, putting my head on his lap

as I was still writhing in pain, sweating and screaming while he tried to comfort

me.

"It's alright Ella. We're here now." He said, hugging me closer to his body.
